What a sad story about poor little Peaches. As a buyer I will certainly be more vigilant. I currently have a 14 year old chinchilla, who adores sleeping in the sink!! If you have time to answer my email could I enquire on the price of chinchillas these days.. I have seen some local to me advertised for £200, which after reading Peaches story, makes me wonder are they too cheap. I certainly don't want to support that kind of breeding.

Re. our entry of 29 October, just want to add that we only had Amadeus for the last 18 months before he sadly died at the end of September 2004 - a truly exceptional little chap - and that we really empathize with your tragic loss. Any info on Amadeus's earlier days would be much appreciated. Thanks also for a wonderful website! Jean Mewes

I am absolutely appalled to hear of your conning Mansfield woman...and sincerely
hope none of my cats become victim to her. I just hope your little cat can survive
the appalling mistreatment she is getting by being bred from.
You had our late cat's sister...Broomyshaw Barclay was his name...I hope she
produced something nice for you....do you still have her?
Yours, Corinne

I have this cat who I've had since I was 14-yrs-old and now she is 14-yrs-old!!! My whole life I thought she was the runt of the litter, until I saw this poster for a missing cat, and it looked just like my cat chrystal!! And they said it was a chinchilla persian. So... now we realize how special she is, but the best part is, when she dies, I know how to replace her(even tho there IS no replacing her in my heart) So, I hope that she lives many more years, but my even older cat only lived to be 17-yrs-old so I am a little worried. So if anyone knows of any chinchilla persian catteries in Northern CA, please let me know!

I HAVE A 2 1/2 YEAR OLD SILVER PERSIAN PURCHASED FROM ANGELINA COLTON FROM LEEDS - SHE IS A GENUINE BREEDER OF SILVER CHINCHILLAS AND HAS QUITE AN IMPRESSIVE WEBSITE ALSO. LIKE YOURSELVES, SHE SEEMS TO GO THROUGH THE VARIOUS CHECKS ETC TO ENSURE HER KITTENS GO TO LOVING HOMES LIKE OUR LITTLE HOLLY DID. I'M SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT PEACHES, I WOULD HAVE BEEN DEVASTATED AS I LET MY AFGHAN HOUND GO TO A LITTLE GIRL FOURTEEN YEARS AGO WHO DID NOT HAVE MUCH MONEY AND PAID £150 FOR MY DOG ONLY TO END UP IN THE HANDS OF A BREEDER WHO USED HER, IT BROKE MY HEART AS I TOO TRIED TO GET HER BACK BUT TO NO AVAIL. I DON'T WANT TO PURCHASE ANOTHER CAT AS YET BECAUSE I HAVE TWO, ONE CHIN AND ONE TYPICAL MOGGY WHO GET ALONG LIKE A HOUSE ON FIRE BUT IN THE FUTURE WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND MY FAMILY TO ANOTHER SILVER CHINCHILLA. WOULD YOU PLEASE KEEP MY E.MAIL ON FILE FOR ANYTHING IN THE FUTURE. THANK YOU

I just though i would say hello and tell you that sherlock is doing great. He is always running riot in the house and it's great! we love to play his new game is with a ball of wool. he likes to walk it round the house creating a spiders web all over the place and like i did not have one for a boyfriend already he is turning to a couch potato to and loves watching telly at night and loves the cheeky girls. He has also learned how to come and give you a kiss and does it last thing at night before he curls up on your feet. Thank you so much for giving me the best birthday gift ever!!!
